Project Description
Mixed Use Development – Carried out contract review and prepared application for additional cost entitlement including extension of time analysis. Additional cost application in excess of £2m.
The Challenge
  • We had to ensure that all contract entitlements had been considered and that appropriate evidence was available to successfully prosecute the contractor’s position.
The Solution
  • We immediately reviewed the project correspondence and records and discussed matters with both the contractor’s commercial and construction management team.
  • Through a systematic analysis of all the correspondence and records, we offered options and valuable advice on the way forward.
  • We established the strategy and advised as to the likely outcome.
  • We drafted further correspondence for the contractor in respect of ongoing issues.
  • The overall strategy was to submit a robust claim as soon as possible to hopefully assist in a negotiated settlement and if not use the claim as the basis for adjudication.
